  1. I disagree with the first 3 responses.  Kevin Smith IS THE STARTER in Detroit.  He has much more upside than Ronnie Brown.  At best, he'll be sharing carries with Ricky Williams ON THE WORST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE that will be playing from behind a lot.  Not an ideal RB situation.  I would only pick him up if you had a lesser non-RB player to drop (e.g. Jabar Gaffney).

  2. I would drop Gore or trade, and start Smith. Gore is going to have a bad season. Then pick up R. Brown

  3. Yes, drop Kevin Smith.

  4. Drop Kevin Smith, Dallas has shown they like Barber to share carries because of his power running and to save him for TD runs, Felix Jones will get significant PT for the Cowboys. Smith is good too, but he is not the starter as an answer above has indicated, he also has to compete with Tatum Bell to get looks this year, his team the Lions haven't proved its running attack ability since Barry Sanders, the Lions O-Line will likely struggle to learn zone-blocking to rush-protect, as they've been pass-protecting for Mike Martz's pass-heavy offense for years now, and your other RBs are clearly superior (Gore, Maroney, Taylor).

Brown is a great pickup, especially considering you have great backs already, when he ramps up his production around mid-season after recovering from a torn knee, then you can sit one of your premier backs who might be underperforming or an injured back and insert him. I would definitely drop Smith for Brown.

  5. drop kevin smith of felix jones.. what kind of league are you in that has ronnie brown on the free agents?

  6. Yea for Kevin Smith
