  1. You yourself cannot legally adopt this child as you are still a child yourself.  Just be there for the baby.  Who is taking care of her now?  Your friend's parents?  Where is the father?

  2. As others wrote, depending on where you are, only legal adults may adopt a child.

If you are looking for a potential birth mother, there are many out there who can provide a good home.

My husband and I are looking to adopt a sibling for our infant son. Please let me know if the family needs a home for this child.

I typed it out funny so that spam robots don't find it by webcrawling.

  3. You cannot legally adopt - her parents have all legal rights. Where are they?

  4. I am sorry for your loss, but you are still a minor.  I don't believe you would be able to adopt this child.  You would not be able to support and care for it and go to school, etc.  The child would be better in an older household.  Sorry.

  5. As many already said before me your age, have you ever thought of just being a sister to her? My sister had kids and lost them so our mother has them but I mostly help out well my sister is doing stupid ****. They had called me mother but I said I was more of a older sister. I know I'm there aunt but they are so close to me it feels like they are my brother and sister. So just start there for now kept being there for the child, let the child know you will always be there for him/her when they need help.

  6. Ava, Ava, Ava, first of all I am so sorry for the death of your friend. Our family also just lost a young loved one.

It is comforting to the family to know that you want to do something to help. However, I'm sure you know that adopting your friend's child is out of the question, for starters, your age. Think of realistic and logical ways you could help out, such as, baby sitting, park outings, etc. Ask the family, how you could best be of assistance to them.

You are a good friend, do what you can and I'm sure the little one and Kristii's family will love and appreciate what ever you can do.  Take Care.

  7. You're too young to care for a child; you're still a child yourself! If you want to keep your promise, make sure the baby is in a good home, with a loving family.

  8. I can't give you an answer to that, but I'm so sorry about your friend
