  1. Keep eating big and working hard and theres no reason why you can't reach your goals.

  2. Not at first. The average guy should start by trying to lift 50% of his body weight. When that gets comfortable, go to 60%. Only after staying at 60% for three months, should you go to 75%. After another 3 months, you can try to scale up to your body weight.  Doing it this way will reduce your risk of injury.

  3. i weigh 5KG and i lift 100KG so i think u can do it

  4. slow but effective progression is your friend, get some tiny plates. go up 1kg (or less!) at a time, always using good form, you'll be surprised how the gains stack up.

  5. You should be able to at least max out on your own body weight. I'm not saying you should set the barbell at 66kg and do your whole workout, but if you can't even push your own bodyweight for a couple of reps then you need to work on that. Always use a spotter when you attempt to max out, you don't want to mess up and cause an injury. Start out on the flat bench first when you max out.

  6. Do the best weight you are comfortable with, but make sure your msucles are buring after about 12 repititons, and then after you can riase the weight but less reps and so on.... Glad to help :)

  7. I am a bodybuilder, and as I say to others

Aim for 10-12 reps per set, if you can easily do that then the weight is not heavy enough.

If you are struggling to do 10 reps then it's too heavy.

My pet hate is people in the gym who stack the bar to do 1 repetition then go off saying guess how much I can lift.

I weigh about 80kg and can bench press 100kg with a spotter. Everyone is different, do whats comfortable to you, not what may impress anyone else.

  8. for strength building change your set/rep range to 5x5 for 6 weeks.

to the guy who pointed out people who lift 1 rep....there is reason for this....you are training your CNS to use your muscles more efficiently...google it.
