Why does she want to wear a padded bra? I think you should sit her down and get to the bottom of this! If she is actually sprouting buds, then a bra is okay (not padded though), but to just want to look like there is something there- at 8? No!

umm no! 8 is way to young to be wearing a padded bra. it might make her feel "older", but she'll grow to be a teen quicker than you know it, so untill she needs one, no.

I wear a 34a bra. I'm 17.

I really think that would be inappropriate for her to be wearing a padded bra. (when I think padding I think slight push up bra).

If she's got bad nipple show through or something and a training bra isn't cutting it than I guess a lightly lined bra is a different story.

padded?? she's 8 years old! she's got the rest of her teenage/adulthood to be wearing padded bra's!  Keep her young and her age for a while...considering she's 8 and already has to wear a bra is enough!

I don't think she should wear full on padded bras. But I was a very early bloomer as well (but bigger), and I didn't start wearing padded bras until I was about 14. Light padding is ok, but anything that increases the bust size is definitely not appropriate. What about a training bra or a sports bra?

if she needs it. Light padding only though. Don't go crazy, light, if any padding is best. Shes to young to be attracting attention to her chest area, At 8 you shouldn't be enhancing anything, but if she truly needs a bra for support, then fine, get a lined one.

She shouldn't be wearing her COUSIN'S bra, but if she is developping and needs a bra, then yes, there is nothing wrong with her wearing one.

Get her a training bra though, not a Cup bra.

She shouldn't really have anything padded either, but she's your child.

If you think she should have one, then buy her one. Hand me down bras are kind gross, though.

Make sure you explain to her how to use it, why she needs to wear it, etc.

If she just likes it 'cause it makes her feel grown-up, buy her some tank-tops with built in shelf-bras.

I'd be a sight more concerned about how overweight your daughter is than whether she might be wearing unsuitable underwear that nobody will ever see anyway.

She shouldn't be wearing her cousin's bras, padded or not. She should have her own, lightly lined bras from the GIRL'S section at a store. Not the s**y lingerie section. Not padded, not fancy, just lined and regular.

Or, a sports bra. Those are good for her age to wear regularly too.
