Why would you need to?  And who should really care? I don't want to sound mean by that, but it's really nobody's business.  I like people for who they are and how they treat other people. I don't care about sexual orientation.

That strikes me as a very odd thing to do.  Do you make it a point to tell everyone you meet?  If so, then sure.  But most g*y people I know don't tell people their sexual orientation unless the topic comes up naturally in conversation.  

Now if people are making g*y-bashing comments that offend you, then yes, you should stand up for yourself and tell them.

I think truly you hsould keep that to yourself, part of learning self discipline is the ability to not stand out.

Be confident in who you are but as a student of karate think of yourself as a enuch, but if you feel that everyone must know thats up to you.

I don't understand why you would want to stir up other peoples emotions. Some won't care if you are g*y. Some will feel uncomfortable around you. A few may even become hostile.

You stand nothing to gain by announcing that you are g*y.

Keep quite and train, or tell everyone and plan on leaving the class sometime in the near future. Your choice.

no, that's nobody's business.  Unless the contract specifically states that only heterosexual males are allowed to train in the dojo-even then, there would be no need to bring it to everyone's attention.  I don't feel obligated to tell the guys at the dojo that I like women with big butts..my sexual preference is irrelevant to martial arts training.

No, better to ease into it if the conversation comes up, I mean you shouldn't lie or be ashamed of being g*y (even though its an abomination in the eyes of the lord and you are going to h**l) but its still your s*x life, if I had a nose fetish i wouldn't anounce it in front of the class i don't think

Or just act really g*y and let them come to their own conclusion, maybe wear some nail polish to class and when someone asks you about why you have it say "because I feel gorgeous!" thats a good way to come out
