  1. First answerer is completely incorrect.  U.S. citizens still need visas for China, Russia and Brazil, to name a couple.

Green card holders MAY need a visa to enter Mexico.  It depends on your country of citizenship.  The Mexican authorities do not recognize the U.S. Green Card as anything more than it allows the holder to live in the U.S.  It has nothing to do with which countries need visas for Mexican travel.

Get on the Web and locate the Mexican Consulate nearest where you live, and check out the site there.  You can probably call them and ask.

  2. The first answerer is not correct.  U.S. citizens DO need visas to travel to SOME countries.  However U.S. citizens and green card holders do not need a visa to travel to Mexico for visits of 180 days or less.  If you FLY, you will need your passport from your home country.  You will get a Mexican tourist card on the plane if you fly, or at the border, if you drive.  It costs about $22.00.

  3. all US citizens do not need any visa to go to any country... that also applies to Europeans...
