  1. Definately renew your green card and then Go for the citizenship!  good luck!

  2. you should just get your citizenship...my parents have had their green card for way too long. they said that years back it used to be 75 bucks to process now its 600....so better do it now..you can get dual citizenship...plus you will have more benefits and wont have to keep renewing it...good luck

  3. try the citizenship just in case, but definitely renew the green card.

  4. both because if one doesnt work out you have the other and if both work our your in luck!

  5. you should just apply for your citizenship, you can download the application through USCIS website... here is the link to the application

if a website has a .com after it, it doesn't necessarily mean it is legit... there are many websites and businesses that con people out of money when it comes to immigration issues, so be very careful... when applying for your citizenship you can do it yourself, it is self explanatory and immigration will send you all the necessary paperwork and a CD and booklet with the questions that are on the test so you can study... you can call them and ask for it    #1-800-375-5283...

depending on the field office it can take anywhere from 9mnths to a little over a year from the time you send your application to the time when you take the oath...

  6. it expires in january eh?

well in that case do renewal of green card

then when you get it (last another 10 years) just start the citizen process. Sure some will tell you its a waste of money but it aint. Its better to be legal still then having to spend more money in $$$. But if you really considering citizenship go to immigration lawyer maybe he/she can find way to speed up process for you.

  7. It does not matter.  If you want to apply for citizenship you need a valid green card, so you must renew it no matter which path you decide on.

File Form I-90 with the USCIS.  The cost to file is $370.
