Question:

Should I apply for college now?

...or wait until I take my SATS for the second time on October 3rd?

I wasn't really conformed with my SAT score the first time I took it, so I was thinking if I would apply for colleges NOW, they'd see that score and take that one into consideration instead of the scores I'd be receiving after my October exam.

Should I wait to send them a better score, or just apply to the colleges now?

  1. All of the SAT scores that you take will be reported to the schools that you apply to. Might as well wait till October at this point. Get your applications completed and work on a great essay. In the mean time and work on studying for the SAT's. Good luck

  2. Just apply now, you dont need to send in SAT scores until around april or may. and besides, they'll take ur highest score in each field anyway if u took the test more than once

  3. If the schools have set deadlines without rolling admissions definitely wait until you get your October 3rd scores.  If the schools have rolling admissions then send the applications now.

  4. I would say now.

Don't rely just on SAT take the ACT as well.

  5. If you get better benefits by applying for early decision then you need to apply to the schools now. Some schools offer scholarships to applicants who meet the early decision deadlines granted they like what they see. You can always send in your better SAT scores later.

SAT scores are not the only thing that universities take into consideration when admitting prospective students so don't allow that number scare you from what you want.
