Should I ask "Can you please show me where the room (number) is" on the 1st day of new school year?

Not sure what grade you are going into, but during the first couple of weeks of High School teachers were everywhere helping students find their classes.  Some older students were helpful as well.

Of course, teachers will always be glad to help. They will lead you to that room no problem. Don't worry about it.

Yeah, but you got to make sure that you ask the right person.  When I was in high school, some seniors would deliberately tell the freshman the wrong answer.  So if you are lost, try to see if you can get a map of the school beforehand, maybe even get a tour of it.  And when you are lost in the hallway, make sure to ask a teacher or a staff member to help you because they will most likely show you, and will be happy to help.

Yeah, most people will be glad to help you.  What's the worst that could happen?  On my first day of school, I got lost (hard to do since my school is shaped like a square).  I asked some guy the way and he showed me to my class.   Not too embarrassing.  You're not the only one who might get lost.

Definitely! At my school, for the first few days of school, the teachers deliberately stand in front of their classrooms between classes to help with directions.  Asking older students is perfectly acceptable too, and will help you to meet people as well.

if u need help finding ur room of course u can do that. there are ppl who are glad to help. so dont be shy about it and just ask before ur late for ur next class.
