    I would suggest that you take this very slowly. Do not ask your teacher to be your mentor....she is your mentor because she is your teacher.

    If you would like to learn more from her, gradually come to her for advice. Please do not try to monopolize her time. She is mentoring many other individuals.

    The best way to learn from someone is to watch them, occasionally ask advice, and most of all listen to them.
