This technical college called gwinnett tech, i heard its good and I really want to go there b/c i can get a job there in 6 months and get my associate degree n then go to a university to get my bachelor degree. I know if i go to a university, i would fail my classes and waste my money and i have to get a job so my parents won't have to work anymore. So what's your opinion.

  1. Find a college that you'd like to attend.  Next, see if the courses from Gwinnett Tech will transfer to that college.  In college, you still have to take History, Math, English, Social Studies and all those other lame courses, but in college they are much more expensive.  Take those courses at a Tech school and they will transfer but the cost is only a fraction of what college costs.

Take the courses you want to major in at the Tech school also.  After you graduate from the Tech school, you have a choice to make.  Either get a job and do what you trained for, or go to college and get your degree then make twice as much money.

  2. well, first i would ask why you think you would fail out of a university? are you a poor student now? do you find picking up new things difficult? if so, then maybe a regular, 4-year university isnt for you. not everyone belongs at a 4-year school, and many people end up with great jobs after graduating from technical schools. you can make a lot of money knowing a technical trade. the thing is, technical schools' classes arent super easy- they are still at college level, so you have to ask yourself whether you can handle that. you can also gain assoc and bachelor's degrees from a community college- they arent as competitive as state or private schools and you may find it a bit easier. good luck, and try not to stress yourself out too much- it sounds as though you have huge expectations, which is great, but make sure the pressure is at a level where you can handle it
