I dropped out last fall because of Social Anxiety. Ive struggled with school my whole life. I failed 6th grade because of the anxiety and dropped out in 7th and 8th grade because of my anxiety. It cripples me when i'm in school because I always used to get bullied because of my weight and how I dressed. I barely have a 6th grade education, but I don't believe it because I can read perfect and write and spell very good. I just dont believe school is the place for me. My parents talked to me about this place to go for "nightschool" with is a GED test preperation site and I believe its also called "adult ED".

I dont want to go back next school year and be 17 in ninth grade, and people tell me that I look 20. Going to Adult ED, where the majority will probably be adults.. I would probably fit in LOL!

I plan on hopefully getting my GED (if my parents will let me) and then going to college and take up autobody collision repair or auto technician (mechanic). I really love working on cars and stuff.

Should I get a GED? I don't see the difference between a Diploma or GED.

Is the GED test harder to pass than HS tests or work?

  1. most places wont hire you if you dont have an highschool diploma or a GED. You should do whichever works best for your situation. Youre parents cant make you go back to school if your 16. Thats your decision but I think that if you decide to drop out then you should definitely get your GED so you can go on to college.

  2. If you are nervous about going back to school, then why not take online classes. You won't have to worry about others bullying you. Also, you can take classes anytime and from your home. You will not have to go anywhere to study.

For your reference, http://www.ed2go.com/ provides online courses on GED.

    Think about it..
