but i kinda want to be in the play...not the choir...

but i love singing so the choir would be good for me and help me strengthin my voice... but the theater is what i really want to do...

  1. I'd suggest auditioning. You may never get a chance to be in another performance of that show. You can always join the choir next year anyways. I'd also suggest follow your heart, do what you think is right. If you think musical theater is your passion, go for it. If you think singing is your passion, go for it. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

  2. Do you have to choose? In the schools around here, chorus is during the school day (counts as a class) and drama is after school.

  3. You should try out for the play.  You can always sing for fun and you aren't obligated to be in the choir.  Do what you want to do.  Not what others want you to do.

  4. you should deffinatley audition. you never know what part you will get! and once you find out what part you got, then you can weigh your choices. you may not even get a part (no offence) but thats reallity. you probubly will get a part but you never know. and then if you decide you would rather do chorus...then do it. but before you do all that you have to take in conciteration of the director and if you get a part but still want to be in the chorus what kind of pickle the director could be in..? idkk. do what you really enjoy i guess. :) and break a leg.
