Should I avoid eating eggplant?

20 pounds of eggplant=the amount of nicotine in one cigarette. If each eggplant weighs about 1 pound and a person has half an eggplant a day, thats 14 eggplants a month and equal to almost 12 cigarettes year.

No, you shouldn't avoid eggplant becouse of this.  I wouldn't eat half an eggplant a day because that isn't enough variety in your diet.  Eggplant has heart health benefits though and eating it once or twice a week would not put enough nicotine in your body to negate those benefits.  So, eat up!

    You will smoke more than 12 cigarettesper year in 2nd hand smoke anyway, plus all of the exhaust fumes etc.

    Eggplant is a natural, healthy food.

  7. The nicotine in cigarettes really doesnt harm you much... just all the other chemicals and carcinogens going into your lungs. Eggplant is good for you. I like eggplant.

    14 eggplants @ 1# each =14# eggplant which is less than the nicotine in one cigarette and not enough in one month to get you addicted to eggplant.

    It is the nicotine in cigarettes that makes them addictive it is the tar in the smoke that causes harm to the body.
