I am crossdresser, who loves wearing skirts, dresses, etc. I am not contemplating wearing a skirt to work, as I keep my crossdressing a secret, but am wondering if I wanted to, should I be allowed to wear womens clothing.

At work, if women are allowed to wear pants or skirts to work, then should there be a rule stoping me from wearing a skirt suit to work? I think it would be great to go to work in a skirt suit, heels, makeup etc, but I am not sure if our laws give such equality to me.

Further, how would you ladies react if you saw me in a skirt suit at work?

  1. if you wish to wear nothing to work hun it would not bother me in one bit .... do not scots wear kilts .? skirt

  2. I think you should wear a skirt.  It doesn't hurt anyone.

  3. I BET YOU'D LOOK HOT ! - Imagine the talk around the water-cooler !!

  4. I think it depends on what business you're in. If you're a lawyer or in a business where you have clients and/or deal with the public, sorry there is a dress code and a level of professionalism required and that would be overstepping the line.

If you are in a more artistic line of work (theater, art, music, certain areas of technology (i.e. software developer), these industries usually have a more relaxed dress code, so I would say yeah, go for it. As long as it's tasteful, meaning not a black vinyl mini, with fishnets and high heels.

  5. Keep your peccadillos at home.

  6. I think most jobs have a code of conduct.  Check the employee handbook.  Or just ask your employer.  If they are fobic about stuff like that, then the answer would be "NO you can''t wear that here."  Unless you work in a nightclub or something.

  7. If you've got the legs for it, knock yourself out!

  8. What do you think of the Scottish man's traditional costume - kilts?  Whyn't you try that and see how it goes over?  The ladies I know consider it s**y!  But it'd be a lot better if you had a Scottish brogue...

  9. It's not so much the law as it is your company's policy.  The law states nothing against men wearing skirts or dresses and make up.

  10. As long as you shave your legs and nothing pokes out I could care less

  11. check on the policies that your office has. Were not allowed to use flip-flops here at work...I still use them anyways. If you want to use a skirt so be it.
