Should I be brushing my babies teeth?

I have a nine month old with four teeth...two bottom front and two bottom top teeth...they aren't all the way out. This is my first child so I'm very un-knowledged with all of this.

Absolutely, brush his teeth!  There are specific brushes for little ones.  Brushes that have REALLY soft bristles and are designed for your hands.  Only use wate since your child can't spit.  And as soon as his teeth start to touch each other, floss them!  You won't regret teaching your child good oral hygiene!

Yes, if a baby gets a cavity, it can travel down to the next tooth.  My pediatrician recommended to me that i clean my sons 2 teeth and also his gums, as teeth still under the gums can be affected.

My pediatrician told me to start as soon as the tooth comes through but to only use water...toothpaste won't be used until 2-3 years because they have to learn to spit the toothpaste out, not swallow that....they won't know that concept until at least 2.  And even at that time you only use the toddler toothpaste.

Yes. Just be careful when you do it. Make sure you have a baby tooth paste. The tooth paste we would normally use is too strong for the baby's stomach. 9 month is a perfect time to start. You don't want to start to late because then they won't like.

Yes but just with water until after 1yr old. After a year old you can use baby tooth paste without fluoride.

Yes you should.  There are toothbrushes and toothpaste specifically made for infants/toddlers.  Since your child is so young, I would just brush with clean water for now, though.  Use the toothpaste when your child is around a year old.

No, you don't need to do that because when he grow he will change them to  permanent teeth  when he reach twentieth week .
