Should I be cautious of this?

My ex boyfriend's friend is talking to me on myspace, we're talking about my ex and he explained to me why he didn't have feelings for me anymore...he told me that he was on my side. And that he would try his hardest to make my ex see that our relationship fell apart because of one misunderstanding after another, he said he wants him to be happy again...because he was happy when we were together b. The weird thing is, his friend told me that he "likes me as more than a friend" Why is he trying to get us back together if he likes me? Also, he saw that I was vegan and suddenly wants to go vegan too--now I'm helping him make the switch...is he doing it to get on my good side?

Well this was quite obvious to me before I even read that he wanted to be more than a friend. Sometimes people feel that by trying to get someone back together gives them the feeling that the other person will like them even more because they are trying to help out. But in actuality that person trying to help is really  saying" I hope that you do not get back with him" because they want to take the place of your

loss. Can you figure out what I am saying? But you lost me when you started talking about being a vegan..hey I am 50 btw..but hope I helped.

You know these people better than we do, but your feelings are already warning you. Pay attention to your gut.

it definitely sounds like he likes you and he's just doing things that he thinks that you would like, like with talking to your ex for you and going vegan. you should talk to him and clear things up.
