Question:

Should I be concerned about the color of my sons p**p?

My son is 17 months old and today had a very green dirty diaper. It looked almost like green frosting. The thing is it has been weeks since he has even had anything green. I have tried looking up information on this but can only find things for infants not toddlers. Could he be sick?

  1. No, p**p can be any color and be healthy except chalky white, or tarry black.

  2. He's probably not sick. Both my kids had green p**p quite often when they were little.

  3. I don't think its a big deal. This sounds kind of funny, but what if the color of his foods mixed and it became green? I wouldn't worry too much unless he comes down with other symptoms of being sick.

    Good Luck

  4. Does it look florescent green? if it does and smells like rotten eggs that's a sign of rota virus and that can be deadly. 2 of my kids had and  had to be hospitalized. Seems like he might have a stomach bug though. has he eaten anything like Froot loops ? that could make it turn green. Call the doctor just to be sure.. could be teeth too

  5. ewwww tmi about the frosting!! take him to the doctors for goodness sakes!

  6. no   he's  not    sick  it's  perfectly  normal

  7. I had that same concern once and read that blue foods cause green p**p.  My daughter had eaten blue yoghurt the day before!

If you can't link to anything, a visit to the doc would be wise.

  8. yeah, check your awarranty, id bring him in

  9. has he drunk blue coloured juice or cordial?? that makes my girls poo's go bright green
