Question:

Should I be embarassed?

So, my husband and I have had unprotected s*x all this month and I had this weird feeling I was pregnant, so I took a test and it was positive (but VERY faint). Anyway, I have since taken 4 test and they are all negative. I was going to wait until the end of the month to get a blood test just so it would put my mind to rest. I have had two previous miscarriages and get very ancy! I am just embarrassed to go to my OBGYN because I thought I was pregnant last month even though I wasn't late, I am pretty sure it was wishful thinking. This month I have had acid reflux, a week late period, back pains, sore nipples, and some dizziness. Should I be embarrassed to go back two months in a row to get my blood drawn? The suspense is killing me and I just want to move on if I'm not pregnant!

  1. I had 2 miscarriages before conceiving my 2nd child. I don't care what the doctor or other people think. Most of importantly for you, go and check with your doctor. Don't be embarrased about it, you are married and have the rights to be pregnant. Bear in mind that if you really are pregg, take care of yourself as this pregnancy might be considered high-risk one(that's what my gynae told me for mine). Good luck!!

  2. i don't think you should be embarrassed at all if i was you ill go as many times as it takes your better safe than sorry.its your body your baby and your bill.:) good luck

  3. It's best to wait 2 weeks after your missed period to take the test. but the most reliable is the blood test and you can find out sooner no you shouldn't be embarrassed it's best to be safe then sorry.

But be careful your body and mind can play tricks on you.

  4. No you should not be embaressed. That is youre child and youre body and if you think that you are pregnant you have every right to go see the doctor. They wont think anything of it, they see hundreds of women every day. Better safe then have to worry about it!

  5. you should not be embarassed by any means! you got a positive one & thats reason enough to go back for a blood test!

  6. How long after the 1 faint positive, did you get the 4 negatives???? and also did you use the same test or a different one? If I were you i'd make a trip to the ER and just tell them you really need to have your HCG levels checked through a blood test. Because planned parenthood and all those cheap clinics will do a urine culture but not a blood serum for hcg. I wish you the best of luck and let me know about the questions I had asked. I totally know how you feel about the whole waiting deal.

P.s and if you don't want to go to the ER try First Response..I got a positive 4 days before AF was due.

  7. No, you should not be embarrassed.  If you would feel better, go to the doctor so they can do a blood test.  It will put your mind at ease.  Plus, if you are pregant, stressing out is not helpful!  Good luck!  Hope it comes back positive!

  8. If you need to know so badly, go to Planned Parenthood, or your family doctor instead, that way you can avoid embarrassment.  It's usually cheaper that way, too!  Good luck!

  9. Sorry to hear about your 2 m/c's. They are a horrible thing to go through.

I felt the same way a few months ago.

I ended up being just 6 days late and went for a blood test month 1 and got af the next day.. I felt so stupid.

The the next month I was late a few days and didn't want to go back because I didn't want to look like a silly women again so I just waited and af eventually came :(

I would just wait until about the 6th of next month and if still no af then I would go and get tested.

Everytime I have had a - test it's always been correct.

You should try and use an early detection test like first response or one that says 'can test up to 5 days before a missed period' and use first morning urine and if the test is - then try again in a few days.

You could still be pregnant and your hormones just arn't high enough yet to have a + test.
