I was wondering if I should continue being a free safety.

I run my 40 in 5.1, im 5'11, age 15 and 160 pounds.

I love to hit, but my bench is 105.

I dont want to be WR, RB, CB.

[theres 30 kids with that position on my team.

  1. U should stay ur natural position. If u love to hit than i say u should stay Free safety.Because u might want to become a linebacker soon.

  2. I think you would be better off putting some weight (muscle) on and becoming a linebacker. You would fit there better. And then by adding muscle you will decrease your body fat %, which would slightly decrease your 40 yard dash time.

  3. Yes. This is America.

    Everyone should be free safety.

  4. No offense.

    Im 13 and i bench 130. im 5'6'' and 120 lbs.

you seriusly need to get your bench up to like 200.

Also, improve you 40 time time to around 4.85 or so

  5. Need to dramatically improve strength, as anything less than 100% of body weight is considered weak.

Safety is probably a good position for you, but if you're mostly interested in that because you want to avoid competing with 30 other kids, then you might as well try out to be the kicker or punter.

  6. If you want to be different and play, I'd go with Safety. But because of your talent and size, I could see you playing WR or LB more, but you really need to work on your bench.

  7. get that 5.1 to a 4.7 or lower if yoiur looking to play in college you will need a 4.4 , life more weights and  remember that your coaches will decide

  8. sure...why not

  9. dude i bench 125

    you should bench more

run early in the morning every day and your endurance and speed will go up

  10. Start lifting and get that 40 time up.

    Add up some weight too.

And, you can play multiple positions.  You don't have to be solely locked to one in high school.
