Should I be goalkeeper, defense, mid, or forward in a soccer team?

I WANNA BE IN MY HIGH SCHOOL TEAM BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT POSITION TO PLAY! I AM 6 FEET TALL AND MY MILE TIME IS 8 MINS. AND ABOUT 45 SECS IF I REALLY TIME. WAT DO U GUYS THINK?

    AND MIDDLE.. YOU GOT SPEED AND AGAIN YOUR HEIGHT...

    because u run fast so u can catch up on your opponent and u can steal the ball

    like me i run fast and im going 2 try 4 defence

  4. it depends on what your good at! not with what you want. the coaches will select players based on their skill, not desire.

    ->you can be a GOALIE if...

    you have good reflexes.

    you have good judgement.

    you can command your defenders from behind.

    ->you can be a DEFENDER if...

    you are a good sprinter.

    you can stay really close to people at high speeds.

    you can steel the ball efficiently, without fowling.

    you can clear the ball and send it to the midfield.

    you can start attacks on the wings.

    ->you can be a MIDFIELDER if....

    you can defend decently.

    you can pass extremely well.

    you can shoot from anywhere in the penalty area.

    you can shoot outside the area.

    you can center the ball decently, with or without pressure.

    ->you can be a FORWARD if...

    you can head the ball.

    you can shoot the ball extremely well in the area.

    you can chase the ball all the time.

    you can sprint fast for short periods of time, but many times.

    you can work space in the penalty area through defenders.

    you can beat defenders on the flanks for the ball.

  6. You should def. be a goal keeper. You got the size, your speed isn't bad or good but ranges in the acceptable list, work on your jumping also and goalie skills.

    central defensive mid- because of your size, and since your that tall in high school, you are most likley stronger than most other players. and with your mile time, you have pace so you would be able to push up field when the team needs help up top.

    central defender.- with your size, you will be able to stop alot of crosses into the box and also bully guys off the ball that run into the box.   your speed wont be much use to you in this position thou.

    dont be a goal keeper.  it's not just about size when being a goalie.   you need fast reflexs.  for instance, have you ever been in the shower and the soap slips out your hand? if it dose did you catch the soap in mid air? if yes then you got good reflexes if you cant catch it then you dont.

    also you need agility( you got to be able to jump at any moment)

    look at jorge campos, he was one of mexicos best keepers and he was short, but had killer reflexes.

    dont try to be a striker because in high school those players dont shine,
