Should I be offended? I've noticed that whenever I ask a question in the political forums I always get...

I always get several comments that suggest that because I am reasonably attractive, I shouldn't be wasting my time in being concerned about political issues.

Do you men REALLY believe that only unattractive women have the ability or the right to use their minds and time to try to influence the political arena?

You are in fact very attractive and from the way you pose your question you are obviously very bright.  I think everyone should be concerned about political issues.  The system was designed to work best when we do.

You sound like you are fishing for a compliment.... Wow you are pretty and smart too! ...feel better? Why would you listen to some toad that makes comments on your looks because of your avatar on the Internet? How do they even know it is you? How do they know it wasn't taken 20 years ago? And why do you think that any woman that tries to influence the political arena that doesn't get comments like that directed to them is unattractive? Maybe your questions are just stupid?Just saying....

Get a avatar that doesn't resemble you in any way.  Then check who the answers are coming from and ignore any strange comments.

You have the problem with the common human psychology. Your looks always influence what people think about you. That's why presidents always have a team of professionals who will correct the look in order to achieve certain goal. In your case the type of the picture is wrong. Too flirty. Too much smile, too girlish hair. You would need more serious hair, little shorter, straight, something like from the court dramas, eyes in the focus (intelligence) not smile (flirtatious).

This is a nice picture of you, however inapropriate for this section (much better for hair&style - no offence).

Try to change it as an experiment and see how people react.

you really should of used more up lighting on your photo then you could of got away with using reasonably attractive
