Question:

Should I be "masturbating"?

I'm 13 years old, and wanted to ask a simple question:

Should I be masturbating?

Some people have told me that it can lead to things like prostate cancer and health problems if I don't, and I've never masturbated in my life because it seems really gross to me.

  1. You can m********e as often as you want.  It does not lead to any of those diseases 'people have told' you about.  You are not obligated to do it either.  For some guys here, it's in their daily routine.  It is not a gross habit; it feels wonderful to do this thing.  But, it's not for everyone to do.  Personal choice.

  2. Do what You want to.  No health issues come from masturbating and not masturbating.  It feels really good, but only start when your ready.

  3. you should do what is right for you ..i know of no ill effects of either masturbating or choosing not too

  4. I dont think that you can get cancer from masturbating. Its normal...♥

  5. Do it if you want to do it, nobody can tell you what to do with your own body.

And for the record regularly ejaculating (through s*x or masturbation) reduces the risk of prostate cancer.

  6. It's your own choice if you want to m********e or not. Masturbating is perfectly normal and feels good. And yes it is said to help prevent prostate cancer. Look it up and spend some time in your room practicing. You will like it.

  7. You are being fed some bad info and advice.  If you do not want to then that is your business.

P.S. It seems that about half the posters misspell MASTURBATION.

  8. its a personal preference whether you m********e or not. Masturbation does not lead to any health problems, if it did, 99% of all men would suffer from those health problems.

  9. If you want to m********e, then of *course* you should.

Masturbation is having s*x with the only person you'll ever meet who knows *exactly* what you feel and what you like, even if that changes every second.   It's normal and very healthy for you, and learning what pleases you sexually is good for you.

Masturbating won't prevent any of the things you've been told it can (although there's a statistical link with prostate cancers that's certainly interesting), but it *will* prevent sexual frustration (which is just as bad for you as *any* unhealthy kind of drive-denial stress)... and it will help to insure that you're at you peak of fertility if you ever decide to become a dad: sperm cells that age and die off take up space and are replaced with younger and healthier ones much more quickly if you ejaculate at least a couple of times a week.

Don't believe *any* of the lies you might have heard about how "bad" it is for you or how "sinful" God thinks it is, either.  If doing it *caused any of the problems you might have been told, I'd be dead a thousand times over by now: I masturbated 7 or 8 times a day from age 13, throughout my teens and into my early 20s, and I still do it 5 to 10 times a week at age 48... in *addition* to a healthy and active s*x life with my girlfriend.

o****m is one of the best feelings us humans can ever experience while fully conscious and without the aid of devices or drugs... so I really don't understand why you *wouldn't* want to m********e...

... but if you don't want to do it, then just don't do it.   Most of the benefits it can have for your physical health can be obtained in other ways anyhow.

  10. ABSOLUTELY!!!  I did it about 5 times a day when I was your age.  Not masturbating, however, will NOT cause you any health problems.

There is nothing wrong with masturbating....it is a normal part of puberty and growing up.

  11. well when i was your age i averaged about 4 to 5 times a day .. masturbating cant lead to cancer or anything .. those are just myths people tell you so you don't m********e ...It's really your choice .. it relieves stress and makes you feel good ..

  12. Your time will come, Grasshopper.  Your hormones will eventually encourage you to m********e (or to have s*x), like they do every other mature male.  You don't "have" to, of course, so there's no "should" about it.  But is normal and healthy.  Teens commonly m********e every day.  There's no harm.  All the "warnings" are just b.s. and old wives' tales.  All men and teens m********e, always have, always will.  If anything bad was to come of it, you'd hear about on the evening news or in the local newspaper, not some rumor on the Internet or in the boys' bathroom.

  13. just do it whenever you feel is right, and it wont cause any health problems if you dont do it now, so dont worry.

  14. THere are no negative effects of masturbating . Its the same physically as having s*x , but without the problems ,side effects,STD's pregnancy, abortions, emotional problems, getting caught having s*x at 13....on and on .THere is nothing gross about it. It is natural. It reduces desire and will keep you out of trouble.

  16. hey!!!! everybody m*********s it OKAY!!! LOL everyone does its a normal thing  to do!

  17. There are no health concerns related to masturbation, so don't worry about that. Masturbation is normal, it is also normal not to m********e
