Should I be scared to go to Mexico? TJ to be exact?

Yes - I know many people that have gone to Mexico for work.  They could not leave the hotel unless security was with them.

it depends who you hang out with and if you go out looking for problems. If you decide to stagger out of a bar at 2am and throw a brick at a local gangster or cops, then yeah, you should be scared.

if you keep it clean and behave like you should in your own downtown area, you should be okay. Ask your friends or the hotel for advice on where not to go. Try and use some commonsense about where you go and what time of night. Oh and try not to treat Mexicans like 2nd class citizens, that usually helps.

You should never be afraid to go anywhere, but one should always be cautious when venturing into new territory. Accidents can happen anywhere. Most people in the world think America is the most dangerous place on planet earth. Trouble comes to most people when they are looking for it, i.e., do not get drunk and hit a local, do not make a drug deal in TJ, do not get **** faced drunk and arrogant, do not make out with your girlfriend in front of people who may be offended etc and you will be fine. Trouble usually follows the troubled.

Absolutely not, just take the same precautions as if you where in any other place in the world, I have never heard about someone needing security to get out of a hotel.

Besides if you're scared that's exactly what you attract, so relax and enjoy!!

No just don't look for trouble! i agree with those that said you look for trouble or do anything crazy then you will find trouble and that loser who said something about getting escorted by security whatever that is bull----!
