Should I be through with my best friend?

My best friend and her husband just up and moved back to our home state. She didn't tell me anything, I found out she left from her neighbors. It's not like we were on bad terms we would talk several times a week. I had to contact her mom to find out where she is. I'm so angry I'm thinking of telling her to get out of my life for good. Only thing is we've been best friends since our freshman year in high school we're 28 now) and I can't imagine not being friends. What should I do?

  1. Hmm..

    Well if nothing has happened between you two, either;

    She may have a hidden reason not to tell you- maybe you aren't talking to each other enough?

    She may have forgotten (I doubt it though)

    Or even she might not have been able to, it might've been a sudden movement made by her husband.

    Anyway, I think you should try to call her and see if you can find out what made them move. Maybe start off the conversation like, "Hey! Congratulations! How are you... etc. etc. and at some point ask her what made her decide to move and if you get the nerves ask her why she didn't tell you she was moving- but keep it polite so as to not destroy your friendship.

    Good Luck!

  2. My best friend from age 16 did something like that. I chased after her, even flew  thousands of miles to visit her. Wrote her letters for 15 years. But she always stayed very self righteous and arrogant. Finally I dumped her by e-mail.

    You know,  I feel so much better now. I realize it wasn't the current friendship that was of value. I was only being loyal to my memories of our teenage fondness for one another and everything we went through together as teens. I feel good now about living in present
