Question:

Should I be worried about my eye?

Yesterday, while i was washing my face with apricot scrub, i think one of the little bead things, went into my eye. I thought i could get it out easily , so i just tried to flush it out with water. That didn't work, so i got my dad to blow in it, but that also didn't work. After that i thought if i cried it might get washed away by the tears, but that also didn't work.

I just went to sleep believing that by the morning it would have already came out, but it didn't. It actually felt like it went further to the back of my eye. Also, my eye started to leak/run and my nose began to run. Each time i blink i feel it. So is the bead going to go all the way to the back of my eye, and just disappear, should i go to the doctor.? I don't think it going to infect my eye, but its irritating, and annoying , and i don't like the eye leaking. I also tried and eyewash, but nothing seems to work.

The bead is not visible, at all. Its in the way way back of my eye, like the back of the pupil, but i can really feel it.

What should i do?, Is it just going to go away?

  1. No, it won't just go away. It sounds like it's embedded in your eyeball and can't work itself out. You have no choice but to get it removed or a few things can happen. It can move deeper into your eye causing more pain/damage, and removing it will be harder then. Also, you can cause scratches and infection, which won't be fun at all. If your eye starts to swell or get really irritated it can cause pressure, which can cause disturbances with your vision.

You'll just have to bite the bullet and get in to the eye doc. They can take it out in a few minutes, give you some antibiotics, and you'll be on your way with no more pain or watering. Call the doc ASAP and get it taken care of before things get worse and you'll have to deal with it anyway!

  2. Go to the doctors. Its not going to go away on its own for a looong time.

The doc will just flip your eyelid over and pull it out. easy and painless.

It can get to the back of your eye though, you have muscles around your eyes on the top sides and bottom.

Shouldnt harm you but it will keep annoying you alot.

  3. if it is bothering you and causing you to tear then you should go to your eye doctor.  they can remove it.  you don't want to risk a scratch or infection.

ps it's not going to go all the way back in your eye, it is just high up and you are not able to see it.
