Question:

Should I be worried about the Oasis Cancun?

So in 2 weeks I'm going to the Oasis Cancun. I've read such terrible stories about it and now I'm not sure I made the right choice. I want to go somewhere and have a good time, but I dont want to be around complete underage idiots either.

I was supposed to stay here last August but switched to the Oasis Palm Beach because of hurricane dean. I was BORED out of my mind at Palm Beach - it was all children (ages 3-10) and the parents of those kids. Nothing to do and the bars all close at like 11:00.

I'm looking to party with my friends but also be able to get a tan/relax when I want.

Is this a good time to go? Will I have a good time? I'm not overly fussy about food/rooms, more just being able to relax and have fun. I'm sick of being bored on vacations!

  1. Im sure there are good stories for every bad one.  Just make sure you are on top of things and get things fixed ASAP if there are any problems.

  2. We will be in Cancun May 8th-15th staying at the Riu Palace Las Americas. This is our 9th trip to Cancun since 2001. I really think that the Oasis is one of the worst of the worst. Very old furnishings, sub-par food, and just a general lack of caring by the resort staff. However, if it is a party your looking for, you will most def. find it there!! Remember to drink plenty of water as the sun will dehydrate you quickly. Hope you have a great time!! For future reference, I would recommend the Riu Cancun, right in the heart of the party zone and geared towards your demographic.
