I'm 18 and incredibly broke, my parents are in a bad financial mess and I just started a job at a smoothie place that pays minimum wage to do all the ***** work. I hate it and I can't quit becuase I need money really bad. I never used to think like this, but I saw a movie on television about a girl who started go go dancing to pay through acting school. I'm seriously considering it, can't you make alot of money in a short period of time? I've had modeling offers, in fact I have a photoshoot Thursday, so I'm hoping I'd be pretty enough. Any advice?

  1. Yes the pay is better then you think.

  2. No.

So, you would rather degrade yourself than have your self respect?

Think about it. IV Real, IV Real.

  3. Sure go ahead and be a stripper. But hopefully only to get yourself and parents caught up. Be careful for all the nasty stds to. After you get some money saved up go and make somethig of yourself. K

  4. if you were good looking you would not need to get an answer from strangers so im gonna go ahead and say NO

EDIT: I just saw the photos you put up and i'v changed my mind, go for it!

  5. if you really want the money and dont mind stripping. i just advise stick to the dancing and dont go for the hooker part. just do your dance thing and yea

  6. What a terrible way to disgrace yourself.

  7. Are you ready to be abused, socially marked, and maybe even killed? if your answer is no then DO NOT DO IT

I know what you mean but as you find easy money and easy will leave you and you will ruin yourself.

  8. Aww why would you do that?...

You should consider the risk of doing that.

  9. NO.

because later in life what if you make it big in modeling? and then someone recognizes you from the strip club?

have some respect. your a pretty girl, but that doesnt mean all pretty girls have to become strippers!

  10. yes. You should. Only have one question, at which club will you be spreading those legs? OMG! look at those pics! I can already imagine you rubbing your p***y all over my face. I'll make it rain like it's never rained before

  11. be a waitress! or get a 2nd job...strippers get no respect,  can you visualize yourself butt naked grinding on some nasty old man? definitely not the life i would want( besides what would your parents think of you)

  12. Just get another job, i think photoshoots are ok but dont be a stripper.

  13. Do you realize your last question said you got a job at Robeks and you used to work at a smoothie place. And now you say that you work at the smoothie place? Make up your mind stop begging for attention.

  14. don't become a stripper.. it will only make your life worse! find anotgher job somewhere work double shifts at 2 jobs! don't degrade yourself like that

  15. why da heck should you become a stripper? there are still a lot of jobs out there. why don't you consider working at a fastfood chain? you shouldn't sacrifice your reputation AND something might happen to you. think about it. there's still hope:)

  16. yeah if you don't really care about your dignity it is really good money and you really don't have to look good at all so if you do thats a plus.. but i used to bartend and i made mad cash so if you're having a moral dillema try getting a job at a restaurant with a bar or a bar, any job - you can work your way up to bartending in no time.

  17. Your motivation for being a stripper is all wrong. If you need money, there are plenty of jobs available that are respectful, honest and just as much fun. You say you saw a movie, exactly - it was just a movie - ie fiction. Stripping is a very immature form of entertainment for 'men' (and I use that word very very loosely) that treats women as objects and that is just simply wrong.

I say that you should get a proper job, that is fun for you and pays reasonably well. Modeling is a choice, acting is another. Stripping is not one of these choices.

  18. Watch out. Being a stripper/dancer is not glamorous. Do you really want to be known as a stripper? If you think you can stay away from the drugs and perverted men than go for it. Be that low.

Try to find a better paying job. Take out a loan or see if you can get free money from the government and go to SCHOOL. You may be able to finish something in two years. Then you can actually do something you are proud of.

  19. No, don't do that. You'll only degrade yourself and have horrible things happen to you. My friend's sister-in-law did that, and someone started stalking her. So, just try to find a better way to make money. And also, pray for help for your family. HIH!

  20. Don't be a stripper. You also get a lot of money for selling pot. Would you do that? I have no career experience what so ever. But I know that you can be a lot more than a stripper. By the way, don't believe movies. One of the keys of ignorance is Hollywood.

  21. Let me tell you something... I worked in a strip club for a year, not as a stripper though, but I can describe to you what happens with every each one of the girls who do that. First (if she's got any boundaries of course) she's ashamed and uncomfortable. Why? Because men who go over there treat you like a thing, thing they can tell what to do, they know once they show you those bills you'll be acting like they're everything you've been waiting for, they can also reject you in a mean way because obviously they don't care if you have any feelings, you're one of the products, just like in the store. So what does the girl do? She starts drinking (first a lil bit of course) to give herself a little kick, and a little less awareness of what kind of a world she's at now. Then she hangs out with other strippers when there's nothing to do, naturally she starts seeing their point of view, it starts to feel natural. After that your new friends introduce you to drugs (98% that's coke). You become a junkie..About the money.. at first you're so impressed you've made $500 tonight, you can't believe it but...after 2 weeks you're pissed you've made only $300/night. Trust me, you become greedy and quickly forget you only wanted to have enough! No money is worth even being around those kinda people (that's why I quit, I was a fully dressed bartender btw). I saw new girls coming, looking decent, "fresh" to the business, shy, they all followed that path. It kills young woman's soul kiddo, don't ever try it.

  22. Id consider trying out the modeling thing first. their are plenty of models that pose for Photographers that need people to shoot.

but if gotta become a stripper try not to be one in a real bad area because generally those strippers are doing more then "dancing" to make the serious money.

  23. why don't you just do more photoshoots if you can? I guess if you're really desperate you can become a stripper but they're frowned upon in society and its not the most appealing job to some.  I agree with the person who said waitressing. You can make a substantial amount of money off tips.

  24. need picture

Allright, just kidding about the picture. NO you do not want to become a stripper-

you are 18, you start life getting jobs at a smoothie place, realize it sucks and move on to a respectible job, go to college, go to tech school and pay your dues and make something of yourself. Something you would be proud to tell people you do-stripper is not it

  25. Well im not going to tell you NO.. because this is a decision you have to make on your own. I will tell you that there are plenty of oppurtunities out there and you dont have to do this if you dont want to. My advice is to look at all your options instead of jumping into it so quickly. If you believe stripping is the best way for you to make money.. then good luck! Especially if you have good looks.. youll make alot. !

    (: good luck

  26. Seriously, how would you feel after all that? What would you tell your kids? And if you met the guy of your dreams and he freaked out? I think its really degrading and so what if the money is good? Id rather work 3 jobs then demoralize myself like that.

  27. isn't there a difference between a go-go dancer and a stripper?

why not pursue a career in modeling first?  you're only 18, you will have many opportunities to roll in the dough.

in my honest opinion, go to college and get an education.  many states offer financial aid and student loans with low interest rates.  keep in mind, that the financial aid/loans also cover the basic costs of living.

  28. No. you don't need to sell your body for money.

i mean, i would understand if you had no access to food of anything for some reason but just hang in there for a little more.

and if you want to model, model. commit fully to modelling. just my personal opinion.

you know what to do and you know it.

just do what feels right. and know that you might regret it later

  29. Go for it!

The "perils" of striping are easy to avoid if you have a level head and a goal in life.

Are you comfortable getting undressed in front of strangers, being oggled and catcalled?  With a thick skin, a good brain and the right attitude, being a stripper could be a great way to advance toward your goals :)

  30. Stripping is a dead end. The only way a stripper gets into acting is through p**n. Although many claim it, you probably could count the amount of strippers who became successful outside of taking their clothes off, on one hand. It is good money fast but you essentially sell your integrity. You would always be known as a former stripper no matter what you do in the future. Give the modeling thing a shot, and if it doesn't work out at least you haven't labeled yourself. There are many options out there. Go back to school and choose something you want to do not something you feel you have to do. There is a lot of money available to those looking to attend a trade school or college.

  31. I JUST WATCHED THAT MOVIE YESTERDAY!  haha... but just look at the situation she got herself into...do you really want to be there?  I mean, it's up to you, but there have got to be much better ways for you to earn money...ways that don't degrade yourself.  You might consider a second job, or, if the photo shoot goes well, modeling?  I wouldn't suggest being a stripper, though....
