Should I begin research on alternate fuels which will carry the United States well into the 22nd century, or go outside and yell at the kids to get off my lawn?

  1. Well, yelling at the kids would probably just be a waste of time. So I would go with the research.  Better for the mind and blood pressure.

  2. Spray the lawn with etanol and throw a match.

That'll keep the kids off the grass.

  3. I'd do both at the same time.  Take your notebook and books with you.  If you need self-defense, those books could help out.

  4. Have the kids help you. Don't you wish you could find a way to use all that kid energy to solve our energy woes? Maybe what we need is a million large Gerbil exercise wheels that the kids can get spinning in competition (the competition part is the key as kids are so competitive). Playgrounds could all have these "Kid wheels" to generate power, and we could put generators on all existing playground equipment so we can tap some of that energy; swings, teeter totters, merry go-dynamos. See! Problem solved!
