Should I believe my husband or not?

Question

my husband evacuated his car last night from flooding. i talked to him about leaving the kids and i in the apartment without considering our safety. he claims he panic because his car doesn't have full coverage insurance and that he never experienced this kind of flooding before.

Has your husband had a history of lying or neglect?  The answer to that should tell you.  If he's a good guy I'd be inclined to believe him.  Now, throat-punch him anyway for leaving you guys!!!

Is he usually loving and caring?  If so, believe him. Seems strange, though, that he didn't think to take you all with him.

what's the big deal? you and your kids aren''t going to float away from a foot of water...the car is a different story.

If you don't have trust then what do you have.

I am not saying be gullible to what he expresses in return but i am saying have some sort of trust in him. The worst thing you can do is doubt someone...doubt, insecurity and lack of trust is a killer to a relationship and unwanted negative you want inflicted upon the bond you may share with him.

Unless he took a very long time to take care of the car or if you and your children were in immediate danger I do not see a problem with him taking care of the car.  I would hope that you and the children would be safe in your own home for a short period of time.
