Should I bring a long-skateboard to England and France?

Im taking a 38" long board with me. I know they are great for cities, but was wondering if the more-so country roads in england and france have bikelanes where i can ride too. Any additional info would be much appreciated too!

If you are going to be staying in the countryside, don't bother, because there are hardly any cycle lanes out here. If you're going to be in the city, there will be more.
