See I won't be back packing through Europe for quite some time, but I would plan on going in the summer time by myself and would be visiting many countries.. About 6 I think, and I'm just wondering if it would be sometimes good just in case to have a small sleeping bag in case I couldn't find a hostel or just to save some money even though I'll still once an awhile stay in hostel, cause I'll be there for about a month and a half... So please help from experienced back packers..

  1. Many police depts. won't let you sleep in parks and in many cases, it's not safe to sleep in public.  If you are short on funds, just spend less time visiting Europe (or just don't go until you have a steady job and can save some $).  And when the dollar is stronger against the Euro.
