I've been offered a new position with the company by which I am currently employed. The position will require a more unusual set of skills and proficiency than what is now required of me and lots of travel as well. I have been with the company for a year, no 'dings' of any kind exist on my record, I am certified by a respected national board of examiners as an 'expert' specialized in my particular field in addition to my licensure and education.

I was informed that the program for which I will be working in my new position will be up and running in less than 60 days. Should I bring up salary? If yes when? How? Conversely, should I wait for them to bring it up?

  1. you should bring it up before accepting the position. if it normally pays more than you are currently receiving they should be open to it.
