Please don't say they are sold out, just a clear explanation, please.

Btw, it's the European (UK) version, I want.

Thanks.

  1. i would say an 80GB but idk. however much money u want to spend.

  2. 40GB - sold out, its now the 80GB Core, same price (£300) but now has a dualshcok remote and larger hdd.

60GB - can either get it off Ebay, or Pre-owned at Gamestation, it's only Ps2 backwards compatible version in UK, so if you want to paly your PS2 games still its either this or keep hold of your PS2.

80GB - not sold in the UK, though on last friday (22nd Aug) the 80GB core was released, so no backwards compatiblity but larger harddrive space.

160GB - recently announced, may be US only, might not be out till closer to Xmas, but will be $499(£400 in rip off britan prices) have DS3 remote, Drake fortune and a PS store voucher.

so if you have PS2 gmaes 60GB may be best, but it will be second hand, if no Ps2 gmaes or your gonna keep your PS2 then the 80GB Core is best option.

the 80GB MGS4 bundle pack is US only.( the one that palys 80% of PS2 games)

  3. if u have a ps2 then you should try ebay for a 60gb or wait for a 80gb which you can already preorder from gamestation ect. if you dont want to spend the extra money get a 40gb.

  4. well man here in november they are going to have the

ps3 160gb for $499.99 for sale at any gamestop in 3 months

on november 16 2008  in is backwards compatible

    they have 2 difference PS3 80GB

PS3 80GB $499.99 w/dual shock controller it is backwards compatible

PS3 80GB $399.99 w/dual shock controller it is not backwards compatible

ps3 160gb for $499.99 for sale at any gamestop in 3 months

on november 16 2008  in is backwards compatible    :)ava06

  5. Depends on what your going to do with the memory. I personally would get the 60gb PS3 because its cheaper than the 80 gig, and has more memory than the 40 gig

  6. the 80gb is the best

  7. it is really up to you if you are gonna buy a lot of games for it i would go for the 60 or 80  if you are not gonna use it for much games then go for the 40

the differences are that 40GB does not have backwards compability so you cant play PS1 or PS2 games

the 60GB has been discontinued but you can probably find it if you are lucky it has backwards compability so you can play PS1 and PS2 games

the 80GB is best but some 80GB models dont have backwards compability basically the new ones that will come out if you can get the metal gear solid version those 80GB do have bc so you can play PS1 and PS2 games but they are only in limited stock once they run out there will no more

there is another one coming out it is the 160GB even though it will not have BC it will come in a bundle with a Dualshock 3 controller and Uncharted Drakes Fortune and notice that Dualshock 3 controllers are expensive in the U.S it costs $50 almost the same price as a new PS3 game

  8. alright well this will be long but i will give you a desscription of each.

20 gb: no wireless internet, silver trimming, 4 usb ports, 2 flash card readers, blu ray player plays games, backwards campatibiliy (about 80%)

40 gb: NO BC except ps1 games, wireless internet,  no silver lining, no flash readers, 2 usb ports, blu ray player, plays ps3 games and ps1 games.

60 gb: 100% Backwards campatible, wireless internet, silver trimming, 4 usb ports, 2 flash readers, blu ray player, plays ALL ps1 ps2 ps3 games.

80 gig. same as 60 gig, but only 80% backwards campatible
