Should I buy A Dell or A Mac laptop?

tell me why or why not also is Vista a bad progarm?

Get a Mac unless you need Windows.

I would go with a Dell. They run windows OS and most people need that for what they use a computer for. Dell Has great tech support and are always glad to help you with a purchase. I have a Dell inspiron 1525 laptop and it only cost $650 dollars. I have had very good luck with Dell and would never buy anything else. Macs are very expensive and unless you really need the features that they have I wouldn't spend the money.

Also, as long as you get Vista SP1 it is fine. They have fixed all of the problems with it.

Get a DELL unless all your going to do is surf the net and listen to music.  Vista is not bad at all, it's got it issues like XP did when it was released, but overall it's solid and secure.

mac for sure

vista is a TERRIBLE program

macs are very easy to use

I personally like MACs better (it's really user-friendly)

BUT my school (and I find a lot of libraries) use only Dell computers, so maybe Dell has a longer lasting system, with a fair price tag?

So I will probably get a Dell, just because it runs on Windows, and a lot of programs (and things like USB drives) are more compatible with Windows.
