Should I buy Gears of War ?

Well, I am getting quite bored with Halo 3 and COD4, so I want a new game. I am a huge fan of shooters and I am considering getting Gears of War, should I ? I mean I don't know, Gears of War 2 is coming out soon, should I get Gears of War now and Gears of War 2 later, or just wait until the second one...

get Gears 1 used for like 20-30 bucks.  You will want to understand the story for Gears 2

I would get it so you know whats going on with the story and the multiplayer is crazy

yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes!!!!!! it's so much fun!!!. my friend has got it and it's awesome. graphics are even better than halo 3.

honestly, ive heard nothing but bad things about it, but if ur gonna play story modes then yes, and if just online then no, because the first one will be obsolete online soon.

I too have the same problem.  I decided to wait for gears 2, it'll save my wallet some cash, and be worth it in the end...

The storyline for Gears of War sucks. I mean... it REALLY REALLY sucks. It's a great game though and I'd recommend it.
