  1. They're both generally the same car, though if you're thinking about purchasing a Civic. Why a DX? That's is the base model and you will not get all for your money. A tC is cheap and includes a lot, if you want a fun driving car, look at the Civic Si Coupe. That is a fun driving car, but if you're choosing between a Civic DX Coupe and a tC, I would much rather go with the tC.

  2. i drove both cars 2 days ago  scion bad bad handling  no pull at all engine felt worse then my saturn ion  the Honda on the other hand great interior  10 times better the tc  and runs much better better handling More power and the tc wastes a lot of gas don't get fooled by wat they say   its not good on gas  and the tc has an engine of a toyota corolla  so if you want that kinda slow engine on your car get tc other wise stick with honda , do your self a favor go test drive both  you're gonna feel the difference, and tc the noise on the sunroof  unbelievable  sounded like a jet plane over my head.  oh and if you are planning on customizing this car anytime honda much easier and cheaper. either way honda civics last till the car falls apart.

  3. The Civic has 140HP. 0-60mph in 8 seconds.

The Scion has 161HP. 0-60mph in 7.4 seconds just like the Mazda 3.

The Scion is faster and more fun to drive, but the Civic will last a little longer and get much better gas mileage. 6mpg better highway.

  4. Actually get whatever you feel like getting, scion is kind of expensive

  5. both are good cars but i went with the scion, unless you drop si money the tc is faster and has more stuff in it. mileage is not much different and the tc doesn't handle that bad.

  6. Both cars are very reliable and will last forever. a tc compared to a civic lx is not even a comparision. features like a sunroof and 17" rims come standard on the tc compared to having hubcaps and no sunroof on the lx. if your not looking at the civic ex you cant not compare it to the tc.

the tc is faster and handles alot better then people say.

it has a pioneer radio with a standard ipod adapter

i personally think the tc is more stylish on the exterior and interior steating is also roomier and nicer. i dislike the fabric used on the civic and its radio is built into the dash and impossible to upgrade without cutting the dash. the only thing i like better on the civic is the digital cluster over the steering wheel with the speedometer and such.

  7. I tried out a lot of cars a couple of months ago before settling on my 09 Scion tC. I have to say, I absolutely love this car and would recommend that you get it, opposed to the honda civic. I test drove a Honda Civic LX and hated it. The thing that annoyed me the most was the fact that the speedometer is digital, so if you are going 60 mph, it will just tell you plain as day that you are going 60, not like the usual speedometer. I don't know why, but that was the main thing that turned me off from the car..just not my cup of tea.

Also, if you are planning on having other people in your car (especially in the back seat) then the tC is definitely the way to go. The civic had virtually no leg room for passengers, yet my tC very comfortably holds 4-5 people and nobody in the back feels squished at all. Plenty of leg room, especially good if you are a tall person.

    tC all the way!

  8. 1) speed wise, tC has a bigger engine = more hp with torque to match it. the civic only has about 140 hp and the torque isn't as much as a tC.

    2) audio option: tC takes it. you can get a pioneer premium sound system with the car. not so for the civic. if you get an rs 4.0, it comes with a subwoofer under the front driver seat.

    3) honestly, i think that the civic's dash is too long and makes it look ugly. i have also sat in the back of the civic and it's not very comfortable. the tc's interior is pretty sleek and stylish, but the only gripe i have about that is the door is kinda awkward to open from the inside.

    4) exterior: i would say get a tC. if you mod the exterior of a civic, a lot of people will look at you as if our some ricer guy trying to show off. not so with the tc for some reason.

    5) reliability: both cars are very reliable. take care of either car and it will last you a long time.

    6) speed mods: the tc's engine is boost friendly and can handle up to 350 hp with stock internals, meaning you don't have to mod the engine in any way until your car is making upwards of 350 hp. the civic's engine doesn't support that much power on stock internals and around 250 hp, parts of the engine will need to be rebuilt = expensive.

oh, and the engine is a camry engine, not a corolla. the engine is a low end, high torque engine which means it'll accelerate pretty fast but once it reaches top end it the acceleration isn't as much as it was in the lower rpm band.  with the honda, the torque is mid to high end so it means you have to get the rpms to mid-high range before you'll feel the car to really accelerate. the honda has more of a gradual acceleration pull whereas the tc is more right off the bat.

  9. Tc is not good handling car.

    get honda civic coupe.

    cool exterior

  10. Dude, tC is so much better. Seriously.
