I know about the gas issue, probably wouldn't put no more than $60 in it at a time anyway. Im not a heavy driver just work, school, and maybe a few other places. Just looking for reasons not to get it. Also looking for maybe another alternative?

  1. No.

Its the same as a similiar model type GMC or Chevrolet.  They change the interior, badging, fenders, lights etc and charge you more.

  2. 60 dollars won't put a dent in that gas tank we just got rid of a dodge durango and it 12 miles to the gallon in the city. keep your money and buy a small 4 cylinder sports car that looks hot

  3. Escalades has the highest chance of being stolen than any other vehicle. Also, work, school, and a few other places will add up very fast, and I know someone that gets not over 8 miles a gallon in his Escalade. For the price of a 2004 Escalade you can probably get something better. I personally don't like Escalades, I would go for a sports car or a crossover.

  4. You never said whether or not you NEED an SUV. Do you tow a boat or jetskis as an example. Do you have a large family or are you primarily the only person in the vehicle? If its just you and you want to look cool (I'm guessing status has something to do with it if you are considering an Escalade) then try out a hot sports or luxury car. If you like American brands try a Caddy STS or CTS sports sedan or a Chrysler 300 (still not great on gas but better than an Escalade). If you like foreign brands look at a BMW M3 or a 5 series or a Infiniti M class or a Benz C class, or maybe even a sports car Nissan 300z, Mustang, or a G8 Pontiac. If you NEED an Escalade then buy one but if there is no need go with something else and use the money to buy some rims or a cool stereo and not just GAS for the behemoth!
