Question:

Should I buy a Boeing 737 with the CF6 Engines?

I'm going to use it for charter service and so I can transport certain things to my estate which is far from the States. Like my horses and my car and motorcycle collection.

How can I find out more information on how much the FBO's charge for remodeling the interior? Also who offers this type of service at the best prices?

  1. Nahhh.....  hold out for one with Pratt and Whitney 1120s.....

  2. 1) The 737 was never available with GE CF6 engines. In the classic configuration it was available with Pratt & Whitney JT8D engines, then later the CFM56. I assume you are referring the the CFMI outfitted aircraft.

    2) The 737 cargo holds are not large enough to transport a car or a motorcycle within them, and a horse certainly won't fit.

    3) The interior configuration costs depend greatly on what you intend to have done. There is a standard passenger configuration all the way to complete custom configurations

    4) You cannot operate an aircraft on a for-hire (charter) basis without a proper certificated company to perform the flights, ticket selling and maintenance

    5) You can operate the aircraft privately under a FAR part 91 (you will still need qualified pilots and maintenance staff)

Lastly, I provide the very type of technical assistance you seek to help with avoiding the pitfalls of purchasing or leasing an aircraft. With all of the recent airline collapses, I'm very busy at present, but I'm always available to discuss projects with potential customers.

However, if you aren't for real, and have no intention of doing anything but asking silly questions simply for the sake of asking them, or tryng to widen your knowledge of the business, I do NOT have time for that. I will be checking on your D&B information as well as expecting you to produce a letter of credit from the bank before I will take you on as a client.

  3. Sure, knock yourself out.

If you have that kind of money, I do not think you'd be asking here, though.

  4. Yup go ahead, as you know with CF6 engines well there will be no spare problems they are the engines of A300, A310,& 747. Of course the last numbers change like CF650 for the 742, CF690 for the DC-10. You migh not have a problem procuring engine nor selling one.

  5. If u have that kind of money first u contact Boeing tell them what your requirements are they will recommend u to company's who modify planes for specific needs and from there u go.
