Should I buy a boat or an airplane? Which will be more fun?

I have a pilots license and have boating experience.

If you have that kind of money................buy both of them of course.

Tough call.  I love doing both.  Planes are easier to rent and seeing as you would be sharing the plane, I would go with the boat.

Plane expense and recertification over time will be a pain...especially with partners. Go for whole ownership of a boat. Or maybe save up for  PBY or Catalina hehe.

I am also a pilot and sailor and have built both a plane and sailboat.  I spent more money on the plane and used it much less than I do my boat.  My family and friends can join me more often on the boat and most mistakes I make in piloting the boat won't get me killed.
