Should I buy a refurbished GPS device for my car?

I can go from about $150 bucks on a Garmin Streetpilot c530 to $100 or $107 if I buy it refurbished.

I've bought two factory-refurbished Garmins.    They come with everything the retail ones do except the shiny outer box.  The warranty is the same, so there really isn't a downside.

That said, the C530 is discontinued and doesn't have anything going for it that the current Nuvis don't do better.

If you do need external FM, you have to leave the "value" series Nuvi 2x0 and go to 6x0 or 7x0 models.

Consider buying a Garmin StreetPilot C550 or a NOH Nuvi 260, they are much better units and includes Text to Speech.
