Should I buy a synethetic or natural handled knife ?

I love the look of a natural handled knife, but the upkeep on the handle is tough. Should I invest in a blade with a synthetic handle?

it depends on what your usage is going to be, i like natural better but all my knives are synthetic, since its more durable. I have a very nice buck hunting knife, it doesnt have a natual handle but it is still a very nice looking knife.

I love my Gerbers and Benchmade with synthetic handles.

Wood and Ivory just don't do it for me, as a carry/ clip knife.

For durability you just cant beat synthetic. You can get pretty close with some exotic woods though. Burl wood on a knife looks very nice and is as durable as any synthetic.

If your getting a folding knife however, synthetic is a better option and can be had in some outrageous color schemes!

These guys here make some OUTSTANDING knives in both styles of handle.

In My opinion the real "investment" would have to be Real Wood.
