  1. No, definitely not.

Kia's are cheap cars as is, don't buy an 01 with a ton of miles on it for 5 grand.

For 5 grand you can get a much more reliable name such as Honda or Toyota.

  2. 5000 is way to much.  im sure if you shop around you could find a honda or toyota, whom both have a better track record for realiability, and would have better resale value for under 5000.  remember this car your talking about is nearly 8 years old, and they say milage should be around 12-15000 per year.  good luck on your search, but trust me, an accord, civic, corolla, or camary are much, much better cars!

  4. take it to a shop and have a mechanic check it out. Make sure there are no trouble codes or warning lights. You didn't say if it was an LX or SE which makes the value of the car very different plus if it was auto or stick. I assume it was auto and have done a quick blue book assessment on your car. I wouldn't pay more than $4500 if it was in good or excellent condition if it was an SE. If it is an LX I wouldn't pay more than $3000 that is for an excellent condition according to the kelley site. Below are the links to my findings.

  5. I wouldnt, not with that mileage.

Im sure if you look around you'll find one with better mileage
