Should I buy an amp for my MTX Monitor12s?

I have an RCA receiver hooked up to them for about 4 or 5 years now and they sound great, but I was wondering if it would be worth it to get an amp to go along with them. Would it improve the sound quality? My budget is about 400$.

Here's a link to my monitor12s

And the manual to the RCA STAV-3970

  1. To be HONEST...I really don't see where you would benefit....You already have 100 Watts and Big speakers....

Does your amp sound muddy or weak?

Then go with a Denon or a Yamaha amp....Some like HK, but to me they're a little FEATURE-shy....
