I'm planning to dump out my old iPod (iPod nano 1G) and get a new one. I'm going to buy mine this time from www.apple.com and it's going to be refurbished because I don't feel like dumping $300 on an iPod that might have problems. The problem is, that the brand new iPod nano 3G was priced at $99 (very good price) for a 4 GB. Then the iPod touch was at $199 for an 8GB. I can't decide. I want to do it once, and do it right. Does the 8GB fill up fast? Should I get the 16GB instead? Does it get scratched up really easy? Am I getting ripped off? How big is the screen exactly? How many videos can I put on them? Are they bulky? Are they slippery? Is it really worth investing in? Do they really charge for updates (it's crazy if they do)?How long does the battery last in one full charge? I'm not kidding about this, but I researched and researched and looked at the reviews, and I can't find anything. At first I was considering getting one when I get a new MacBook, because Apple gives away iPods to college students when they purchase a Mac. At that time, the iPods might be better and might be worth investing in. I'm such a Mac geek, but I don't know so much about iPods, so what do you think? I really want your opinions before I make my final decision.
