Should I buy beginner golf clubs at Wal Mart?

There was a set at wal-mart for $120 dollars or something and I just need to know if it is a good deal. I think they were dunlop.

Well, you have to start somewhere. They're (probably) better than 10 or 15 year old clubs. The newer helpful technology has reached most brands around today. Plus, opening up brand new stuff is really fun.

Yeah I would, or you can look into used clubs on ebay, but really either way you are going to spend about that much or more.  Really, everyone talks about the importance of brand of clubs, which helps to a degree, but you could have the top of the line clubs, but unless you know how to hit them, you aren't going to do any better.  I play with off brand clubs and I don't think I do too bad.  Of course I don't get out and play as much as I would like, but I do hit the ball straight (for the most part) and can usually give myself a good chance for birdies, only to three putt...lol  Golf is expensive enough with the green fees, so save money where you can, until you are comfortable with your game, then save up.  Good luck.

Sure.  I did.  Once you get the basics of the game, you can invest in a better brand.  No use in spending a lot of money to begin with.  It's a good deal.

For someone who is just starting, the club brand does not make that much difference is how you will hit.  The only draw back is that you can't be fitted by the Wal-Mart associates.  If you start playing with clubs that are improperly sized, you may become discouraged and lose intrest in the game.

yes it would be smart to buy a pair of beginner clubs form walmart cuz then they are cheaper plus you are just beginning so you dont want to spend to much money on something if you dont know if your gonna use them as much as you think.
