I have a high end AV system. Should hook the whole thing up with high quality cables? If it does make a difference what are the best possible cables I can buy?

  1. In general, spending outrageous sums on expensive cabling is a waste of money.  I like these guys, they are U.S. based and seem to produce very high quality cables at a very reasonable price.  I am not associated with these folks in any way, just a customer:

Read their information on HDMI cables.

  2. Honestly, I have a $50 HDMI cable and a $5 HDMI cable.  While the $5 cable is thinner, I see virtually no difference between the two.  None. Zero. Zilch.  Save yourself 45 bucks, unlike myself.

  3. The best cables you can by are subjective.  The better your system around the cable, the more noticeable the higher quality cable.  The best cable I know of that's worth it is the DH Labs HDMI.  Any more expensive and you're throwing money away for bells and whistles -not performance.

  4. if it has a HDMI out....the go for it....that's the best quality u can get...

  5. it does make a difference.... unfortunately, the difference is not discernible by the human eye.....

  6. Monster gives you a better or all quality. It is expensive but you will see the difference. They also withstand bending and minimize noise. Try to get also a noise reducing outlet...

  7. HDMI uses digital signals, which means it wont lose picture quality if the cable isn't great. It might lose a tiny bit of quality but nothing you will ever notice. It would be a lot better to get the cheap cables.
