  1. I always felt like I should. That's what my parents taught me. Then I grew up. Spent my own money on my vacations, and actually read the fine print.

Unless you or your spouse dies or has to be helicopered outta there..your on your own.

That goes for early cancelation. Unless my husband died... I was going on the trip with or without him... and they'd only return a small portion depending on the day he died and how close to the cruise date it was.

I thought that was cheesy. Insurance isn't cheap and it didn't seem like there was alot of wiggle room allowed.

That couple who was on th royal caribbean honeymoon and the guy fell off..... they still haven't been paid because they said the body wasn't found yet...  How sad and pathetic that insurance companies have the gaul to do that.

  2. yes i am ur insurance salesman buy buy buy yes yes yes me want ur money these are my eyes >>$$

  3. if there is much travel or any possible health issues then yes... you can buy it on line cheaper than from the cruise line and can include your travel method in it also but you need to do it right after you book it. just google it

  4. yes.  as a rule of thumb, you should always buy insurance if you don't know what it's for.

  5. I always buy the insurance through the cruise company . Maybe I'm gullible, but just this week with 2 different people, they were writing about missed cruises. One was missed because of having to be hospitalized and the other missed getting on the ship because their driver got lost for 4 hours and they didn't make it to the port on time. I am under the impression that you would get back at least part of your cruise money or maybe all of it if you miss the cruise because of health reasons or other extenuating circumstances. I don't like taking big chances with my money.

  6. If you book it through the cruise line it's not really "insurance."  You can buy actual travel insurance through places like the AAA (auto club) and travel agencies.  It's cheaper to avoid the product offered by the cruise lines.

  7. You should always get insurance... but I do not recommend Cruise Line insurance.  It is not as comprehensive and tends to cost more... especially if you are under 60 years old.  AIG has a great travel insurance program called travel guard... here is a link to their website http://www.travelguard.com/index.asp
