Question:

Should I buy my own water softener instead of rent?

I am thinking of buying a water softener for outside instead of renting the one out there now. Would a Sears brand be just as good as other brands? What should I be looking for with it?

  1. Yes, buy one. The cost of the salt that you are paying now and what you can buy it for will pay for the unit over time.

  2. If you're going to live where you're at for a while, buying is the way to go. I've owned mine for the past 35 years.

Sears sells very good water softeners.
