Should I buy my train ticket in advance to get to Salamanca from Madrid, or can I just buy it at the station?

I am trying to get to Salamanca from Madrid. I intend on buying a train ticket once I get to the train station, but I am afraid that these tickets sell out quickly. Does anyone have any experience? Thanks
